Overview

The Avenue of Arts Costa Mesa offers an ideal location within walking distance of Costa Mesa’s theaters, art collections and shopping districts. It’s also situated halfway between the beach and Disneyland. A free shuttle can transport families to and from the John Wayne Airport and Disneyland, making it convenient for families to get around.

Renovated in 2016, the deep purples and modern vibes give this hotel a Palm Springs resort feel minus the desert. The outdoor pool overlooks a community pond area and small garden nooks can be found throughout the property, inviting guests to hang out and relax.

The guestrooms are spacious and beautifully designed. The convenience of the onsite restaurant makes meals easy for families, too.

Reviews

Interesting property

by Kelleyanne

Tucked away in a garden-like atmosphere surrounded by condos. Sweet place, clean but expensive for the amenities and level of comfort/service. Wifi is good, the service was nice, the restaurant had a great breakfast, bed was comfy and it was clean. Nice airport shuttle - very convenient to John Wayne Airport.

Family Activities

Outdoor Pool

The heated, outdoor pool overlooks the pond area and is a great place to hang out after a day of shopping or before seeing a show. Lounge chairs and umbrellas surround the pool deck and implore relaxation for the adults, while the kids can swim and play. The pool is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and pool towels are provided. Beverage service is available at the pool and a restroom is situated nearby.

Pond and Walking Trails

The rear of the hotel looks out onto a community pond and large courtyard. Paved trails surround the pond and can lead families to the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, South Coast Plaza shopping district and several restaurants. There are several sculptures and art pieces to admire along the way.

Gardens

The hotel has done a great job with bringing the outside in and the inside out. There are small grassy gardens with chairs, tables, couches and heat lamps situated throughout the property. These garden nooks are great places to read a book or run and play. Free yoga classes also happen in the gardens often.

Family Dining

Silver Trumpet Restaurant

The onsite restaurant offers families breakfast, lunch and dinner in both indoor and outdoor seating on the patio. The California cuisine always includes local and organic ingredients on the always-changing, seasonal menu. The restaurant is open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and it opens at 7 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. While there is no designated children's menu, kiddos can easily be accommodated.
