After winding through the switchback mountain roads of the jungle you find yourself surrounded by the greenest rice terraces your mind can imagine. Then, through a typical Balinese village and into the gates of Bali Lush. I was on a solo exploration of Bali on a motorbike and had the fortune of staying in this slice of paradise.
The staff catered to me as if I held the deed to the property. Friendly and professional, they are among the most hospitable people I’ve met on the island. I stayed in the Frog bungalow. No attention to detail had been left undone. If you are longing for the authentic Bali experience, such that you’ll not find in Ubud, Seminyak or Canggu, you’ll not regret making this reservation.
A very unique part of the experience was mostly all the delicious food served at the restaurant is grown on the property! A nice treat is you can leave your bottled water for the trendy hotel spots near Canggu. This place serves crystal clean well water. Very unusual for Bali. Heck, you can even drink the shower water!
As I stirred awake about 5:45 a.m. the next morning, I opened the antique wooden double doors and watched the sunrise over the distant volcanic mountains swallowed up in the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in—in years. It’s hard to explain the coolness factor of slumbering outside the bungalow into your own personal outdoor shower surrounded by a privacy wall. Truly, it was like taking a shower in the rain. If it were possible to award more stars I would. In summary, if you want a Bali experience, not just a night in a room—you cannot go wrong with this place. Thanks to the lovely staff and the owners.
