Overview

Luxurious rooms at the Banana Beach Resort can accommodate three guests, with extra cribs and cots available for the tiniest of travelers. Each room comes complete with beautiful tile floors, flat screen televisions, private balconies, luxury bathrooms and air-conditioning. El Divino Steakhouse serves a variety of island inspired cuisine. The resort has two freshwater pools, private beach access, jet skis, kayaks and paddleboards. Guests can book a snorkeling, diving or fishing excursion at the front desk. Tours of ancient Mayan ruins and swimming in the world famous Blue Holes can also be arranged.

First & Last Stay

Pictures are really nice, but actual resort, not so much. The staff was really friendly from check in to the restaurant staff. Great service! The rest, well - I was ready to leave when we got there. Rented a 1 bed, 1 bath. Got a 2 room kitchenette with 3 beds - a double, a twin, & a mattress in the front room sitting on top of a futon???? Only one AC unit in the bedroom. If you watched TV in the front room, you sweated. The bathroom was bad. Rusted fixtures had been painted white. Ants everywhere. Shower curtain rod kept falling down. Microwave didn’t work. Front pool was filthy & closed most of our 8 day stay. Pool by our room was clean, but open to locals. Packed on the weekend - couldn’t enjoy what I paid for. Seaweed was horrible & smelly. Other hotels attempted to clean it up. Not here. Over all - made it work, but will be the last time i stay here.

Great Stay...

Great location near the heart of town. Not too pricey. Staff were happy with thier job. Sleep was peaceful. You can reserve a golf cart with the front desk person for your convenience. Will definitely be back.
