Wonderful Hotel

by Greg B

My wife and I have been staying at the Bayshore ever since it opened and we have never been disappointed. The hotel is located on the shores of Grand Traverse Bay and is within walking distance to downtown Traverse City. There is a wonderful beach to swim in as well as an large indoor pool. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

First time stay, would recommend

We took our granddaughter there and because it was a bit "pre-season" they were not too full. The wonderful fellow at the front desk gave us a beach front room, which for our 7 year old granddaughter - it was like heaven. Open the sliding glass door and three steps to sand! They have a very nice pool (indoors) which was great fun. I enjoyed the nice hot tub. The day we arrived it was really windy and the lake was rough, but the next morning it was perfectly calm and we found two Petoskey stones right on the beach. This made granddaughter REALLY happy.

The breakfast was decent. A good selection - premade scrambled eggs, cereals, waffles, some fruit, yogurt, muffins/toast. All in all, we had a great stay. I know those rooms are very expensive in season - so I probably would not stay there for hundreds of dollars per night - but it worked well for us in early June!
