Overview

Families visiting The Beach House will want to look to Suites A or B for their accommodation, as the former can fit a single child while the latter offers room for four in total with a pair of queen beds, private balcony, sweeping views over Half Moon Bay and high vaulted ceilings.

Onsite dining is available for lunch and dinner at The Landing. The Dock Bar provides refreshments and small bites with a view in the evening; your kids will love to watch the school of tarpon fish that visit the Dock Bar around 7 p.m.! There is great snorkeling just off of the private dock of this boutique hotel, with a marked snorkeling channel that makes it easy and safe to reach the reef. Guests of The Beach House regularly see rays, sea turtles, eels, lobsters, crabs, barracuda and more at this spot!

High quality Low key boutique hotel

by Carla H

We like to see and feel the town /culture when we travel and the Beach House is right in the middle of it all on low-key West End. But it has all the amenities of a boutique hotel... Awesome rooms with balcony's over the bay (perfect for sunset with one of their signature cocktails - including one with home-brewed kombucha!), infrastructure (lights, fans, AC that stay on even if the island goes dark), and high quality showers, linens, merch, etc.

You cannot beat the location on the beach with a swim-to boat playground (or a float-to with a beer in one of their rafts). I enjoyed the morning swim in the bay. The whole family enjoyed the amazing food (breakfasts and dinner) and the location cannot be beat (we walked to diving, coffee, lunch, and shops).

The staff is amazing ... Helped us set up everything from sloth-visits, to diving to ATV tours (and had recommendations for anything we needed). Service and restaurant staff were equally as friendly and helpful!

Highly recommend for couples or groups and families. Would be soooo fun to do a family reunion here and book all 9 rooms!!!

Beautiful Ocean Front & Excellent Experience

by Jessica L

I am SO happy I stayed here, magnificent experience! This boutique hotel is absolutely beautiful - more so than the pictures show. I stayed solo/female and felt very safe the entire time (a very great 24 hour guard is on site). From the moment I arrived, the Beach House felt like home. All staff were very warm and welcoming. The restaurant is delicious and has great variety. They happily created meals for certain allergies I have (thanks Jackson!!). Drinks were delicious too. All rooms have a direct and unobstructed view of the turquoise water. The House has a few rooms on the bottom floor, 3 on the 2nd floor, and 1 Suite on 3rd floor. I stayed in G and B. Had air conditioning, fridge, bottled water without charge, a safe in room, and everything I could need. They can also arrange airport transfers.

Services: I arranged snorkeling with hotel and JC took me out to two sites. MUST see the reefs- so stunning. JC was so friendly and respectful. They also arranged a massage (in room!) with Suzi who was excellent. Highly recommend this and reasonable prices!

Location: this is near the top of West End, which means it’s a little more of an oasis than the other section of West End which felt more crowded. The water is turquoise and you can see tropical fish right out front. Once you start walking down the street into West End, it becomes much busier with many restaurants, stores, etc, with of course a small beach-town feel. I went to West Bay by water taxi once and found West Bay to be so touristy, loud, overpriced, and less quality, so I was thrilled to take the taxi back to West End!

Note: this is not a private and exclusive area. It’s a public beach, so you’ll share it with tourists, locals, and lots of kids if on a weekend, which I thought was lovely. Yes the hotel has a private dock which is beautiful so I still felt very peaceful and relaxed. It is also next door to a very popular bar. Some nights music will go to 9pm. The bar closes at 10pm. If you are very sound-sensitive and want an exclusive, quiet, controlled or isolated experience, this is NOT for you. If you want a peaceful oasis within a busier area, then this is the most beautiful place!

Rooms:
G (on bottom floor): your patio is not private but almost feels like it is. Room is designed beautifully and SO comfortable. Your room door faces the beach, so you will hear some of that noise. But also incredible to be steps away from the beach!

B (on second floor): stunning room and views. Private balcony looking out over the whole bay. Your front door is facing the street and you’ll definitely hear car noise and drunk people leaving the bar. I didn’t mind at all, and again, everything quiets by 9/10pm.

A few small things that could improve:
- have a sign on door you can place for “do not disturb” or for housekeeping/not.
- there’s no phone in the room. The House is small so it takes a few seconds to order food, they’ll do room service until restaurant closes, but if would be useful to have a phone or have a note about what to do if you need to contact hotel staff when the office is closed.
