Overview

For families seeking to be directly on the beach when visiting Port A, this is the spot. The Beach Lodge is situated above a restaurant directly on the between the dunes on the beach. There is no need to drive or park at the beach because families will be less than 200 feet from the water when staying here. The guestrooms and suites offer a variety of bed options including a two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite that can sleep 10 people. The rooms feature a microwave, air conditioning, flat screen television and mini-fridge. Pets are welcome to stay here too for an additional fee. There is an onsite outdoor pool but it is small and the Gulf is a better option only steps away. The onsite restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Reviews

A great experience

I was held over a day so ask the hotel clerk where to go that didn’t cost a lot. I was after food and drink. Didn’t know it was also a hotel until I read some reviews. Service was fast and my food arrived even faster. When you are in a hurry it takes forever to get your food. When you are relaxing with nothing else to do the food arrives before your second taste of beer. I will go back every time I’m here.

Wasn't greeted after waiting for 5 minutes in an empty restaurant. Finally I had to call attention to the tired looking hag behind the bar who was doing "nothing". Had to seat ourselves and waited and waited for menus. Food was good but the old lady should not work there.. grumpy and down right rude - should not be in the "customer service" business. On top of that there was a cat that wandered into the non-pet friendly establishment and made itself at home in the restaurant. Ick! Cat fur in a restaurant? And who knows if this little critter lays on the tables and bar! Oh... and bird poop on the outdoor tables. Health department should check them out!!
