Overview

Families can stay in one-, two- or three-bedroom luxury lakeside condos with this unique property built close to the water east of downtown and away from the tourism crowds. At the same time, it’s easy to reach downtown Duluth and Canal Park with a scenic bike ride or stroll along the Lakewalk. Larger units include a full kitchen, plus a deck and a living room fireplace. The resort offers some complimentary bikes to use, but you’ll want your own if you have kids’ bikes, tagalongs or a trailer to tow.

Bad experience

by MNviews

This was the one and only time we stayed at this hotel. We stayed 3 nights in the 2 bedroom condo end unit. The unit itself was absolutely huge with great views and had 2 balconies. We enjoyed watching the ships come in. But the side windows faced the neighbors balcony and we had the shut the shades to avoid them seeing us sitting in our PJs in the living room.

The main bedroom that joined the master bath only had a double bed and the 2nd bedroom had a king bed but no AC. It was 60 outside but that 2nd bedroom was about 85. My husband has bad seasonal allergies so opening windows wasn't an option.

Room was VERY noisy. You would think getting a corner unit would be a plus but the outside wall adjoined the stairwell so you could hear ppl constantly going in/out and letting the door slam. You can hear everything that goes on above you too. We were forced to listen to the people upstairs walking around ALL night. We didn't get a good night sleep the whole time we were there.

We also struggled to get basic housekeeping. They seemed understaffed. When we arrived all we had was half roll TP and no extra rolls. Being in a condo with full kitchen it would seem more logical that they just offered housekeeping upon request and just make sure to fully stock rooms with enough supplies that matched the length of the guests stay. Instead of tiny shampoo bottles just add the large ones you attach inside shower. We only had 2 tiny bottles and asked twice for more supplies but didn't get any.

Our bathroom was absolutely huge but we only had one towel hook. I think ppl would reuse towels more if there was a place to hang them...I mean the condo is made for 4 ppl after all! Plus having a bench in bathroom would be helpful so you had a place to set your clothes while taking a shower.

I was asked about my stay upon checkout and was given a discount on my stay for the inconveniences. We stay in Duluth a couple times a year and like trying different places. Not sure if we will try this place again...if so it won't be a condo.

Wonderful view.

Beautiful view out the patio door to the lake. Clean, comfortable. Staff welcoming and friendly. We weren't able to enjoy lake walk due to weather this time but love the location with easy access to lake walk and great restaurants. Enjoyed hot tub, sauna, and fitness area.
