Overview

This log-and-stone hotel sits close to the border of the national park and offers 96 rooms on five floors. The rooms each have refrigerators, coffee makers, and flat-screened TV’s, and most also have private balconies overlooking either the river (if they face the rear of the hotel) or the town of Gatlinburg (if they face the front). Many rooms also have gas fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. While the hotel does not offer suites, adjoining rooms are often available. The continental breakfast offered to all guests includes both waffles and Southern biscuits and gravy, in addition to the usual fruit and cereal fare. The hotel has a heated outdoor pool and a meandering lazy river with inner tubes. You’ll also find a fitness room and two fire pits (which are even more fun if you remember to bring along the makings for s’mores).

Wonderful, Wonderful!

by WildHaireHiking

Stayed here three nights and loved it! They truly have the cabin in the woods feel which me and my wife love. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies available in the lobby. The atmosphere and decor was wonderful, and the grounds were immaculate. Our room was spacious and clean, and we loved the fireplace. We did grab some muffins for hiking each morning from the free continental breakfast, they also had some breakfast sandwiches and fruit available as well. The only complaint I have is the elevator is very slow. But that’s only minor and I would stay here again without any hesitation.

Highly recommend

Only a block from Gatlinburg downtown, a very short walk from the Gatlinburg trail, and the rooms on the back of the hotel have patios overlooking the river. Clean, well maintained rooms with a cabin vibe (the fireplace was a huge plus!). Friendly staff. Interior access doors for security. Well priced for the quality of the room and location!
