This log-and-stone hotel sits close to the border of the national park and offers 96 rooms on five floors. The rooms each have refrigerators, coffee makers, and flat-screened TV’s, and most also have private balconies overlooking either the river (if they face the rear of the hotel) or the town of Gatlinburg (if they face the front). Many rooms also have gas fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. While the hotel does not offer suites, adjoining rooms are often available. The continental breakfast offered to all guests includes both waffles and Southern biscuits and gravy, in addition to the usual fruit and cereal fare. The hotel has a heated outdoor pool and a meandering lazy river with inner tubes. You’ll also find a fitness room and two fire pits (which are even more fun if you remember to bring along the makings for s’mores).

We stayed at the Bearskin Lodge and loved it. The room was clean, nice and reasonably priced. The location is what makes this hotel so great though, in my opinion. It is located right on the back part of the strip; on the river. It is convenient if you enjoy walking the strip. It is also located right by the entrance of the Park and it is at the bottom of the road the takes you up to Ober Gatlinburg. The hotel also offers a continental breakfast. They have a Keurig where you can make coffee any time of the day in the lobby and fresh baked cookies in the evening. We will definitely be returning in the future.
We come to Gatlinburg a couple times a year and this was the first time we stayed at Bearskin Lodge. We stayed here 3 nights and the staff there was incredible! They were super nice and helpful! The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel sits on the road behind the main strip so it is super close to everything but you don't get the noise and congestion! This will defiantly be the hotel we stay at when we come back to Gatlinburg!
