Great staff, a bit run down.

by 104JohnT104

I did enjoy my stay at this hotel but it has become a little run down since its own photos were taken. The staff were pleasant and invariably helpful. I had to change my room on my second day on account of a plumbing problem and that passed off without a hitch. The grounds are pleasant and well kept until you get to the beach, which is messy. The beach itself is nothing special, compared to some of the glories of Bali to be found elsewhere.

There is no restaurant, despite the website’s claim, only a simple breakfast, with the option of some cooked food if you ask for it.

The neighbourhood is quiet. There are not many restaurants compared to, say, Seminyak, and there is little worth seeing in the surrounding area.

The real appeal of this hotel is the price. The property is sandwiched between two de luxe properties which are rather more typical of this part of Nusa Dua, so if the address is important to you but you’re on a budget this place is well worth considering.

Not for the faint hearted

Gained access to my villa in the early hours after a long flight, tired and emotional I saw the room and wanted to go home. The villa is lovely, spacious, quiet and secluded. It’s also dirty, well worn, shower dripped ( noisily) all night and day, the toilet ran constantly, the beds are really uncomfortable and the plug sockets are falling off the walls.
Breakfast consisted of an omelette or scrambled eggs, with the occasional bit of fruit & undrinkable tea or lumpy coffee. There is bread to be toasted - as long as you don’t mind an extremely grubby toaster. No choice. No other meal/drink availability throughout the day. The outlook is lovely, straight onto the beach.
The beach is not the best ( not the paradise I hoped for) dirty ( lots of man made rubbish) and full of seaweed. Swimming is not an option. Lots of harassment from locals selling.
I am not a fussy person, am used to living in a grubby house but this was another level! That said, it’s a lovely location and can’t help thinking it could be a fantastic venue if improved . I would love to be more positive but came away very disappointed (& tired!)
