1. Franklyn D. Resort & Spa – Jamaica
Making our list for the seventh year in a row is the Franklyn D. Resort & Spa, an all-inclusive Caribbean family resort with a playground, giant waterslide, swimming pool, kids’ club, teen program, kids’ buffet and a beachfront location, to boot. Plus, standard guestrooms sleep up to five guests (two adults and three children under age 16). The resort, located in Runaway Bay, Jamaica, is best known for its nanny services, which are complimentary to all guests and especially welcomed by parents who like to dine at The Pier Restaurant, an adults-only eatery with delicious fare.
2. Windjammer Landing – St. Lucia
Windjammer Landing is located near Castries on St. Lucia‘s stunning northwest coast. With its sandy stretch of beach along Labrelotte Bay and a hillside setting where the resort is nestled into the lush landscaping, Windjammer Landing provides a Mediterranean feel, not to mention a home away from home. With one- to four-bedroom villas that range in size from 1,200 to 3,600 square feet, families of all sizes can travel together and enjoy full kitchens, living spaces, large bedrooms and convenient amenities such as washers and dryers. Of course, it also offers kids’ programming, water sports and restaurants.
3. Jewel Runaway Bay – Jamaica
Yes, we’ve selected another resort in Jamaica—it’s tough to choose just one! Jewel Runaway Bay became an all-inclusive Caribbean family resort in 2012 following extensive renovations to what used to be an adults-only retreat. It lands itself on our list with its children’s club (open to all ages), recording studio for teens (who walk away with their own CD), and a Laser Tag Ranch for the whole family to enjoy! The resort also offers family programming, such as Mommy and Me spa days, Father/Daughter dances, and parent and child golfing lessons. The all-inclusive Caribbean resort also has Jewel Lagoon Water Park, which includes a lazy river, splash zone, family raft ride, zero-entry beach lagoon, restaurant, and giant sun deck.
4. Beaches Turks and Caicos – Turks and Caicos
Ask any family which Caribbean all-inclusive resort they’d like to visit, and they’re likely to mention Beaches Turks and Caicos. It’s the top-rated all-inclusive Caribbean resort on our site, and with good reason(s): the all-inclusive Turks and Caicos resort continually reinvents itself. Kids can easily spend an entire visit at the water park, which touts the SkySlide—the tallest of its kind in Turks and Caicos—as well as the hotel’s six swimming pools. There’s also a kids’ club, teen nightclub, nearly 20 restaurants, a scuba program and a wide variety of spacious accommodations, including Family Suites and Seaside Villas. We could keep going!
5. Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana – Dominican Republic
What’s better than a traditional all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean? An all-inclusive NICKELODEON resort in the Caribbean! Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana features Just Kiddin’, a playhouse for kids and families; Plaza Orange, where you’ll find live entertainment and organized games; and Aqua Nick, an outdoor water park. Character dining experiences are also included in rates—be sure to order a green slime smoothie! Accommodations include swim-up suites and The Pineapple—a villa inspired by Spongebob’s home!
6. Coconut Bay Beach Resort – St. Lucia
Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa offers family and adults-only accommodations and pools, making it a viable option for multigenerational vacations. It also houses St. Lucia’s largest water park, complete with a lazy river and two giant waterslides. Better yet, Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa offers a paintball facility, kite and windsurfing center, kids’ club and seven restaurants. It’s conveniently located just five minutes from the airport, too.
7. Club Med Punta Cana – Dominican Republic
The Club Med Punta Cana is an all-inclusive resort with some seriously fancy features. Situated just 10 minutes from the airport, the resort offers a circus school from the legends themselves, Cirque du Soleil. The stunning playground has five zones for creative play and adrenaline-packed stunts (all to the highest health and safety standards, of course), where children can spend their vacation learning how to become performers and acrobats on flying trapezes, use aerial silks, jump on bungee trampolines, and more. Guests can also enjoy free water sports and recreation activities.
8. Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa – Jamaica
The fantastic Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa is situated on its own stretch of oceanfront along Jamaica’s famous Montego Bay. There’s no need to traipse down to the restaurants each time you’re hungry, as fully equipped kitchens make the villas feel like home—but better, as the hotel provides private butlers! Villas also have washers and dryers. For entertainment, there are clubs for kids and teens, swimming pools, a fitness center and non-motorized water sports. Parents will be glad to know the onsite spa is top-night, and that the all-inclusive rates include airport transfers.
The Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa opened in 2018 and has continually received glowing reviews since. Located in Punta Cana, the resort features swim-out family rooms; the largest, the Diamond Club Chairman’s Four-Bedroom Suite, sleeps up to 17 guests! The Royalton Bavaro has plenty of entertainment for kids and teens with age-appropriate clubs, a lazy river, and a FlowRider surf simulator. Families will have the chance to enjoy quality time together through engaging group activities such as cooking classes and organized games. There’s no need to fear buffet-burnout, either, as there are eight restaurants and a room service menu, the latter of which is available 24/7.
10. Wyndham Reef Resort – Cayman Islands
The only all-inclusive resort in Grand Cayman, the Wyndham Reef Resort is tucked away on Grand Cayman‘s East End, which is less crowded than the island’s Seven Mile Beach resort area. Here, the resort provides villas with fully equipped kitchens, living rooms and private balconies, all facing the Caribbean Sea. The resort offers a la carte pricing, as well as all-inclusive options, with every guest enjoying three swimming pools, 1,600 feet of white-sand beaches and a number of ways to enjoy the water.

Located on a former pineapple plantation, the elegant resort offers two- to six-bedroom villas with kitchens (some with private pools). Onsite activities include swimming pools, a kids’ club, spa, tennis, walking trails, water sports and of course, the beach.
12. Spice Island Beach Resort – Grenada
If you prefer a small, intimate resort for your all-inclusive vacation, check out Spice Island Beach Resort on the tiny island of Grenada. All-inclusive rates cover gourmet meals (including kids’ menu meals) at two onsite restaurants, non-motorized water sports, land sports (golf, tennis and bicycling), access to the fitness center and oceanfront pool, and Wi-Fi. Suites provide plenty of space for families to spread out. Did we mention this resort is located right on the beach?
13. Divi Little Bay Beach Resort – St. Martin
After sustaining severe hurricane damage in 2017 and undergoing extensive renovations, Divi Little Bay Beach Resort has reopened its doors. The St. Martin resort offers both standard room rates and all-inclusive packages; the all-inclusive plan allows kids age 5 and under to stay free, and kids ages 6 to 12 stay and eat for $63 per child, per night! All-inclusive rates also cover access to the pools, beach (with complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas), non-motorized water sports, kids’ activities and so much more. Guestrooms and suites offer garden, partial ocean or oceanfront views from private balconies. If you’d like to explore outside of the resort, complimentary shuttle service can take you to local shopping and historic attractions. Bonus: This resort regularly offers kids-stay-free incentives.
15. Santa Barbara Beach and Golf Resort – Curacao
Curacao is wildly underrated, especially considering it has fabulous all-inclusive resorts. One of our favorites, the Santa Barbara Beach and Golf Resort, offers an optional all-inclusive plan, making it one of the best all inclusive resorts for first timers, too. It offers three onsite dining options (plus room service), three outdoor pools, water sports, golf, a spa, and a fantastic kids’ club. And while it doesn’t have a large beach like most resorts on this list, it offers a small, uncrowded stretch of sand with shallow waters that are perfect for young kids.
16. Sunscape Curacao – Curacao
Another great all-inclusive resort in Curacao, the Sunscape Curacao offers a beautiful location on the Caribbean Sea, complete with water activities for all ages and interests. It also has a kids’ club for ages 3 to 12, swimming pools, a spa, and live entertainment daily. All guestrooms and suites have fully stocked mini-bars (covered in rates). You might also consider booking a private dinner on the beach, as in-room babysitting is provided.
17. Occidental Caribe – Dominican Republic
Not only does Occidental Caribe offer all-inclusive rates and a beachfront location in Punta Cana, but it also offers family-specific rooms that sleep up to six guests. Two swimming pools, a mini-water park for kids, evening entertainment (including a family night one day a week), and a theater, trapeze and rock climbing for kids ages 4 to 12 round out the fun for families.
18. Lighthouse Pointe at Grand Lucayan – Bahamas
Convenient for many families to reach, the Bahamas offers a few all-inclusive family resorts. Among our favorites is Lighthouse Pointe at Grand Lucayan. This all-inclusive Caribbean resort offers four restaurants (plus a Friday night buffet and Sunday morning brunch) and is especially ideal for families with young kids. It features a quiet location on the beach (where it’s never crowded), as well as complimentary water sports and a stunning infinity pool.
Must-Have Travel Items for the Season
Traveling with kids can be stressful, but bringing the right gear can help your trip run smoothly. First and foremost, don’t feel the need to lug more than one piece of luggage to the airport—it’s pointless! Pack everything from kids’ swim shoes to mom’s new chic swimsuit inside Away’s Large bag, the most indestructible suitcase on the market that’s built to last a lifetime. If you’re traveling with kiddos who are transitioning from a sippy cup, the insulated Hydro Flask is awesome for parents and children alike for its stay-cold design and leakproof lid (because we don’t want any messes on vacation). Lastly, ditch the diaper bag for a cute all-black, sustainable travel tote that’ll hold everything you need, from pacifiers to iPads.
