See recent posts by Amanda Norcross

Jamaica could be the “King of All-Inclusive Resorts.” The island, a popular vacation destination for couples and families, offers a wealth of all-in-one accommodations, from big names like Beaches and IBEROSTAR, to hidden gems such as Jewel Runaway Bay. Ya’ mon, these all-inclusive family resorts in Jamaica, ranked in no particular order, are the best for kids, based on family ratings and editor reviews.

1. Franklyn D. Resort & Spa

In Runaway Bay, Franklyn D. Resort & Spa features a water park, pools, kids’ club, teen programming (including scuba diving) and four onsite restaurants, plus a separate kids’ buffet with entertainment—all included in nightly rates. The biggest draw, however, might be the resort’s complimentary nanny services.

Upon request, nannies are able to assist in all needs, from changing diapers (a nice break for parents) to watching little ones when time alone is needed. Families stay in spacious suites, all of which include free Wi-Fi and some of which feature ocean views. Did we mention the resort sits right on the beach?

The resort offers a kids’ club, along with children’s menus and the option for them to dine early; after-hour nanny services are also provided if you’d like to enjoy the spa or a late dinner at The Grill, a rooftop restaurant, or Seaside Terrace, situated right on the beach.

Activities include glass-bottom boat tours, sport fishing, catamaran and speedboat trips, plus snorkeling, kayaking, windsurfing, tubing and more. If you have a teen in tow, they’ll enjoy the 7-Up Club, which includes access to a game room and a reading and TV room. Families stay in oceanfront rooms, many of which feature connecting capabilities, or spacious villas that feature private pools.
