2. Cataloochee Ski Area – Maggie Valley, NC

At Cataloochee Ski Area, you’ll find Tube World. Like most snow tubing resorts, there is a 42-inch height requirement. Little ones are welcome to play at Wee Bowl, a much smaller area for tubing.

The Cranmore Adventure Park offers a 10-lane mega-tubing park, open Fridays through Sundays and during vacation periods, too. King Pine Ski Area’s tubing park has grown popular for its Friday night Torchlight snow tubing under the stars and lights. The Bretton Woods tubing park at the Omni Mount Washington Resort is located near the Stone Pillar Lodge, with tubes available to guests and the public for rentals. And Great Glen Trails offers a tubing hill that’s included in rates.
