Lots of room

by Wander21617513141

This is a great hotel because it is a converted apartment building, so most of the rooms have lots of space. My room had a full kitchen, full living room and separate bedroom. If you had to be in Manhattan for an extended period, this hotel would be a great place to stay because you would have plenty of room to work and would be able to make meals in the kitchen.

I arrived via AirTrain and subway from JFK airport. From T4, it took about an hour, then was a 10-minute walk to the hotel.

The front desk people were much more professional than at a typical non-luxury hotel, both at check-in and check-out. I was impressed with this. The lobby is standard for Manhattan (tiny).

They seemed to have given some thought to the extras that might make your stay a bit more comfortable. There were complimentary snacks in my refrigerator, earplugs in the dresser by the bed (street noise in Manhattan is unavoidable no matter where you stay), and the breakfast had everything I needed (including a copy of the Sunday paper) -- waffles, multiple varieties of syrup, extras for oatmeal, some hot options, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, etc. The breakfast area was quite crowded when I went down there but I just brought everything up to my room, where there was plenty of space.

This is an older building. The rooms had been updated and were current, but don't expect a brand-new hotel.

Fantastic spot for families

We stayed here in April and was very happy with the apartments. We stayed in 3D. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I cant remember all of their names but we had a lovely chat with Andriu and Mariaela. The hotel was so clean and safe. The apartment we got was very spacious and comfortable. The complementary breakfast was a great addition. I would stay here again no problem.
