Good place to stay in Ely - almost 5 star

by Unsworth7

Older hotel but very well kept. Nicely kept grounds. Pleasant, relaxing. Friendly staff. Sitting chair in the room. Beds comfortable with 2 pillows per bed. Two things about the bathroom was that there were dead bugs in the light fixture - I am a little OCD about that. The other was that the towels were weird. They did not dry you off very well. There was something about the material. My wife really noticed it. Yes, we would come back. The hotel was for the most part all very good.

Very nice, clean room

We stopped here for one night, very nice welcoming lady upon check in who took the time to tell us what was in the area. The room was very nice, clean and tidy with all the amenities you need. It's fairly basic but is all you need for one or two nights. The Danish's at breakfast are really good so make sure you grab one before you go. Only downside was that most of the plug outlets in our room didn't work so we had to keep unplugging things to plug in our phone chargers etc but it wasnt the end of the world. Overall I would very much recommend a stay here if you are in town.
