Getting straight to the point, La Luna exceeded all expectations, and our expectations were high!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Miguel. He escorted us to our villa, consisting of four bedrooms, five bathrooms and a private pool. After being delighted by the rustic charm and sweet amenities, we enjoyed an outstanding meal in the restaurant, Las Estrellas.
The staff at La Luna is friendly and responsive. The manager, Dexter, is usually on-site checking in to make sure all is well. Roberto is available during the day for a friendly hello at the front desk.
We visited with our family of five, including our three teens, who enjoyed the pool in between walks to local restaurants and Cenote (Gran Cenote was our favorite).
Our rooms were exceptionally cleaned each day, as was our pool area. This was one of those unexpected delights, having such care bestowed upon us.
Our location was fantastic as well. We were in walking distance from local shops and restaurants such as Raw Love. That being said, our free continental breakfast at La Luna was our favorite.
Lastly, we ended the evening with fresh pico de gallo, guacamole and chips beside the beach. The breeze was perfect and the atmosphere was relaxing.
Our family enjoyed this stay in Tulum so much, and it all started with our choice of Villa Zanzibar at La Luna.
So grateful and proud to highly recommend La Luna!
We had a really lovely laid back break of sea sand and sun at Cabanas La Luna in Tulum, Mexico. La Luna is a lovely little oasis of charm and authenticity in what has become quite a commercialised strip along the beach at Tulum. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, with a great feeling of space, and it really delivers on barefoot beachside living. Kick back in a hammock surrounded by greenery and fall asleep to the sound of the sea. Charming touches of comfort and style are plentiful, but it still remains respectful of its eco credentials, something of a rarity in booming Tulum. Couldn't fault the food and drink, all delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff were all lovely, many of whom have been here since it was established way back in 2004. It is still owned and managed by the same family, with the charming and very friendly Dex looking after La Luna guests, as General Manager. Thanks for a great stay!
