Delightful Discovery

by SGH

My husband and I had spent 5 nights in a nearby town hotel ( which we also loved) and only on our last night drove by this lovely hotel by the sea and stopped in for a sunset drink. We were so impressed by the hotel and the staff we were speaking with, we then decided to have dinner. We were served by Aishling whom was so helpful in our dilemma as to what to have. She organized with the chef a seafood platter with a variety of everything for the 2 of us making sure that we would get the full seafood experience available in this wonderful area. When chef presented platter to us I was nearly in tears from delight. It was so beautifully presented and everything was cooked to perfection and it truly was one of our top 5 dining experiences in our 25 years of marriage and countless trips abroad. Had it not been for Aishling going above and beyond to assure that we ordered properly we would have missed out on this memorable experience. We will definitely be returning to this area again and we will surely be returning to this lovely hotel. Just wish we had found it sooner. Thank you for such a wonderful impression and experience!

Really Good

A really nice friendly hotel economically priced ,great staff, wonderful food and excellent location . Cannot stress how comfortable it is - a real home from home feel . Owner and staff could not be more informative or helpful. Particularly loved the chowder and Guinness/pastry pie .Great base to discover Donegal.Lovely to know the Irish language is widely spoken by the staff and locals. A joy to stay in .
