After travelling about six hours and meeting some friends, I began to feel ill. I checked into the Candlewood Suites Richmond Airport to get some rest, hoping to feel better soon. This was not to be. Four days later, I started to feel better. During those four days, the staff at this property bent over backwards to see to my comfort and well-being. Their actions during my illness went over-the-top of expected, normal customer service.

I have long been a fan of the IHG Candlewood extended-stay model of hotel properties and have never failed to receive good service and adequate accommodations. The value I received at this location was much better than good and adequate; it was excellent.

I cannot name just one team member for outstanding effort, so I hope that each one of them be especially recognized for helping me get through a difficult time.

LOVE THIS HOTEL! It is a high class hotel right down the street from a hotel that was not up to par. I found it online and I call it the surprising gem because it is fairly hidden in a secluded location. It has wonderful scenery and an outdoor smoking area. The staff is friendly and I LOVED the lending library system they have if guests need something extra. Would DEFINITELY stay here again. Thanks for your hospitality!
