Overview

Cap Est Lagoon Resort & Spa is the most luxurious hotel in Martinique. We can’t call it over-the-top luxurious, but it certainly caters to those who seek first-rate accommodations and amenities while traveling.

The five-star resort, situated in Le Francois, delivers a deluxe spa, fine dining restaurant, infinity-edge pool, beach, and best of all, spacious bungalows with outdoor showers and private plunge pools. Cap Est is actually quite small with just 50 rooms, giving guests the perks of a large resort with the intimacy of a small property.

If it sounds romantic, that’s because it is. We imagine it would be an incredible place for a honeymoon. You won’t see many children here, except for a few at the holidays. They are always welcome, though.

Room Information

Find the Best Price for Your Stay

The hotel's rooms, of which there are just 50, are its best asset. They are very spacious in size, with oversized bathrooms that include a deep-soaking tub, outdoor shower and private plunge pool. Note: Every plunge pool requires a key code for use.

Suite Junior
This room offers one queen or two twin beds, and features a view of the pool.

Suite Deluxe
This room faces the lagoon or beach -- it's the ideal room choice - and comes with one queen or two twin beds.

Suite Executive
The best view in the house is in the Suite Executive, which offers a panoramic view of the lagoon. It has one queen or two twin beds.

Family Activities

Pool
The hotel has a large, infinity-edge pool that beckons guests to swim. It's surrounded my chaise loungers, though towels are (oddly) not provided. Bring one from your room.

Beach
The hotel features a small stretch of beach that's perfect for relaxing and digging your toes into the sand.

Sports
The hotel offers a wide range of land and water-based sports, from golf and tennis to diving and kitesurfing. Most activities come with an additional fee.

Family Dining

Le Belem
Le Belem welcomes kids, though it's quite fancy and best reserved for adults or families with teens. Dishes are innovative and delicious -- try the lamb and any one of the decadent desserts. It's open for dinner only.

Le Campache
This restaurant is better suited for kids than Le Belem, with casual food -- pizzas, sandwiches and salads -- by the beach. It's open for breakfast and lunch.

Planning & Tips

All About the Extras
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is included in rates, though it's spotty. It works in some rooms and not in others, but typically works in and around the lobby. It does not work by the pool or beach.

Fitness Center
The hotel has a small fitness center with cardio and strength training equipment. It's open 24 hours with key card entry.

The Art of Smart Timing
The resort is busiest mid-December to May, though it never feels too crowded. Visit in the summer or fall for the least crowds.

Getting There
Aime Cesaire International Airport is located less than 30 minutes from Martinique, making it easy to get to and from your vacation destination.

Getting Around
You'll need a car to get around the island and explore. Valet parking is available.

For Mom and Dad
There's no shortage of specialties for parents to enjoy at this resort, which caters solely to adults. Consider a treatment at the spa, followed by dinner at Le Belem.
