The Resort Was Wonderful - The People Made It Special

by REHDenver

This was our first time visiting Puerto Vallarta after many trips to Cabo. We chose the Marriott resort based on all of the good reviews we read, and we were not disappointed. The hotel has everything you could want with excellent on-site restaurants, an expansive pool, rooms with beautiful views of the oceans, the town in the distance and the hills/forest in the far distance. Despite all of the amenities at the resort, I would encourage you to explore the marina (an easy walk from the hotel) and the downtown, which is accessed with a short taxi ride.

I am sure that lots of resorts could brag about their amenities, but what made the resort special to us were the people working there. Three of them stood out to us, but I suspect that the friendly, positive culture is pervasive.

Ernesto Aguirre, Welcome Host. We met Ernesto on the first day of our arrival and interacted with him nearly every day of our stay. He is a caring person with lots of helpful information, and always a smile on his face. We will not forget him.

Miguel Arizmend, Concierge. Miguel suggested several restaurants for a romantic dinner (we were not disappointed with any of them) in town, and the zipline adventure (Los Veranos Canopy Tour), which we loved.

Reyna Radilla, Server at the breakfast buffet. Reyna is super bubbly and friendly, and started our day with a smile on our faces. I should also add that the breakfast buffet is superb!

If you are considering a Mexican getaway, I encourage you to consider the Marriott Resort Puerto Vallarta.

Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff!

The Infinity pool is one of many features that left me wanting to stay forever. Hugo & Ramon greeted us every day with a great smile at the entrance. We walked 2-3 miles every morning and felt safe and comfortable outside of the resort. Sylvester and the sports team provided aqua aerobics every day to be sure we got some exercise during the day! Overall a great hotel and a great experience!
