Overview

Saint Ignace sits at the southern tip of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, the first town visitors reach after traveling over the fames Mackinac Bridge. It is also the gateway to the time capsule natural wonder of Mackinac Island at the intersection of two Great Lakes. The Cedars Hill Lodge is actually a lodge plus three other buildings. Three of the four feature a variety of rooms perfect for families of all shapes and needs, from two queen beds to family suites sleeping up to eight and Jack-n-Jill suites sharing a bathroom which will give kids some independence while having them connected to mom and dad still. Start every day with breakfast and then at the Lodge, put a bow on each fun day in the U.P. with a campfire on the massive lawn to enjoy the clear night’s sky. Outside actives onsite include tether ball, volleyball and various lawn games, while inside is a heated pool and a Wii gaming system.

Fall getaway

by helpmewanda88

Beautiful lobby; room not so much, but adequate.Original room not cleaned at checkin; reassigned to another. PROS: pet friendly, (additional fee). Spacious grounds with grilling, campfire and game amenities. COMPHY BED.
CONS:Staff sufficient, not particularly friendly. Upon request, microwave provided was dirty. Frig temp control had no knob; freezer over-iced with buildup; AC dirty. Horrible breakfast and coffee offerings.

We liked it!

We liked being in The Pines section as we have a dog, so it was nice to be away from the main lodge. The room was clean, comfortable and roomy! The price was reasonable and we would stay here again. Staff was nice. Only drawback was the long trip to the ice machine but that may be different during the busier season. There’s a small fridge but no microwave in the room.
