No major deficiencies

by GrahamWM

This is an older hotel, and not as flash as the others we used during our tour around Taiwan. But it was comfortable (despite a very firm mattress) and everything worked, including air conditioning and wifi. Only one bedlamp and set of light switches, so tough luck if you happen to be occupying the other side of the bed.

Shower pressure was good, and the temperature easily controlled. It was above a bathtub, requiring climbing over a wall, but there was a handrail.

Breakfast was a big spread, but I left disappointed. Only highly processed sugary cereals, and reconstituted sugary cordial masquerading as fruit juice, and I failed to fulfil my desire for a cheese omelette. In fact there were no cheeses at all. If Taiwan wants to attract more western tourists, there's room for improvement here. Some hotels are better than others.

Staff were helpful and accommodating. I'd be happy to stay here again — but I'll bring my own muesli!

Friendly hotel

It’s a good hotel because they have friendly and responsive staff. Our room reservation got mixed up and we landed with a room with two twin beds. Hotel responded immediately and put things right. The regular room felt a bit small. Our ‘second’ room was more comfortable. To be fair, both rooms were clean.

In terms of hotel deco, not my style. The location is a bit far from the night market. A taxi will cost you 100NT.

Breakfast was good. It has a stronger focus on the Asian cuisine.
