Love the house rabbits

by janbrown21

A truly enjoyable few days in tranquil location. From the very warm welcome on arrival throughout we were well looked after. Staff very attentive. I especially enjoyed the artwork in the communal areas and the sculptures in the gardens as well as the amazing Tree of Life adorning the chapel. A nice area in the evening to sit outside to enjoy cocktails before dinner which was thankful to the weather served in the open restaurant with beautiful views. A really lovely surprise was meeting the residents two rabbits who lived in the gardens.

Terrible service and greedy

by Richard R

We had a very serious complaint. Met with the GM who acknowledged it, but didn't remedy it or check in with us again. We paid over a thousand Euros per night but the service was totally lacking on multiple occasions. The hotel is not within walking distance to anywhere and the 20 Euro taxi fee to Vence which is 0.5 miles away is symptomatic of their policy of getting extra money wherever possible. A litre of water from the mini bar would cost 21 Euro, and when they call the local taxi company for an airport car it's 110 Euro. It's not a question of having the money to pay...we just don't like feeling like we are being taken advantage of. Many hotels have free shuttles when they are in a remote location. Most hotels these days have free water and tea in the room. I can't talk about the serious complaint because I posted about it and the review was not allowed, but importantly they didn't follow any kind of process to remedy it. Four Seasons would have had their normal process to make sure we were satisfied and the problem solved. Would suggest that the staff and GM need more training.
