Overview

The Chatham Motel is a clean, simple and cost-effective way for a family to spend a few days in Chatham. But be warned, you’ll find no frills or unnecessary extravagance at this property.

What you will find are 32 standard, superior and deluxe rooms, each with a king bed or two doubles, TV’s, air conditioning and heat, mini-fridges and full private baths. The property itself is rather quaint, and is well managed. There is an onsite swimming pool and Wi-Fi Internet is available. Though there is neither an onsite dining option nor daily breakfast, hot coffee is served daily in the lobby.

The Chatham Motel offers guests an excellent location, close to Chatham and all of the city’s best restaurants, shops and attractions, as well as Harding’s Beach — a local favorite.

Welcoming and Quiet Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at The Chatham.. We usually stay at larger chain hotels, offering more amenities. However, our stay at this immaculately kept motel provided a delightful experience. Ron and Lisa were wonderful hosts. We would recommend it without hesitation.

GOOD VALUE, WARM WELCOME

Don’t judge a motel by its face! Driving by, the Chatham Motel looks a bit shabby, a 1950’s style motel, rooms all lined up in a row, wooden shingles aging to gray. A swimming pool, swing sets and a few charcoal grills make it welcoming to families on vacation. Inside the rooms seem recently redone, spotlessly clean, TV, coffee machine, etc. They are, however, a bit basic. Ours had two padded chairs for watching TV or reading, but there was lots of empty space in the room -- possibly for a crib? The was a clothes rack but few hangers. But the beds were comfortable, the heating unit as noisy as in any other motel.

For a family on a budget this may be the best place in town. Beaches are nearby, a pool on the premises. Close by are eateries at a decent price. It was perfect for the one night we needed a room for, but if you’re looking for more luxury I’m sure you’ll find it on the Cape.
