Relaxing Lake side has never been so Great!!!

by cpeacock1989

My family met up at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel for an early Thanksgiving weekend trip. What a wonderful weekend and most was due to the fabulous hotel. This newest Harbor Hotel tops the rest in terms of the layout, set up and amenities. Much nicer fitness center, the pool is wonderful, the rooms amazing and you must eat in the restaurant! The water feature and wine room really set the scene and the food and service were great. The Bar Manager was wonderful and helped us all select wines for the evening.
I could have stayed in the hotel all weekend and not been feeling closed in. One great addition to the hotel is the small seating area on each floor near the coffee set up in the morning It was a great place for us to talk and not disturb spouses that were still sleeping.

Great get a way.

When we need a few days away from routine, this is the perfect place in all seasons. The excellent food and service on the premise makes the trip relaxing. No need to hunt and drive all over. This is a plus for us. Staff is well trained and friendly.
The turn down and chocolate on the pillow plus the crisp bedding, fluffy towels and upscale toiletries makes one feel pampered. Seating area the room is comfortable for two. A balcony is extra super to watch the views which are varied. Water side provides much to enjoy. I have not tried village view so can’t comment on that.

I somehow missed rating the location, but we have visited in three seasons and it is always beautiful. This week the sky over the water was an art show worth viewing. The hilarious package was a fun first stay. Drives on both sides of the lake for scenery, antiques, art and nature are a must. And most fun is just to try all the areas for relaxing from the circle rooms on each floor with a cup of coffee or tea to the firepits at night. The golf green and a walk on the boardwalk make you feel like you are on a cruise.

Tips: Be sure to try their incredible starters. All the food has been excellent during our four visits. From hot soup on a day I felt sluggish to the full dinners. The bar menu for lunch or an early bite was outstanding.
