Very poor customer service

by Tommy M

We have stayed here the last 3 years during the grandkids fall break. We rent either 2 or 3 condos. This year we had 2. We have 13 total in our group.

This year was terrible because our unit 923. When we were finally able to get in, at exactly 4pm the fire alarm was shrieking and continued until we were finally able to obtain another unit (924).

The customer service folks told me that this was a whole building issue. I assured them it was not as our son and his family were on the floor above us (and were able to check in around 2) and their alarm was NOT going off!

Long story short, having to stand in the breezeway with groceries we had purchased at Publix for an hour (3pm) and not being able to check in. The reason was they said they were not through cleaning but that proved to be untrue as no one came out of this unit. The whole process was only saved by the “boots on the ground “ folks ,( 2 ladies that clean the units and a maintenance guy) I wish I had their names. I handed the phone to the maintenance guy so he could verify that this unit was uninhabitable and was not an easy fix ( 1 &1/2 hour into constant shrieking) .

I feel that anybody can manage anything when everything goes as planned. I play by the rules, I pay all the fees, conduct myself as required but I feel very let down by the response I received during and of course after this event.

This is a beautiful property and a lot of effort has been made to maintain a high end successful experience but you failed me and my family miserably. Most all the reviews that give you 4 or 5 stars are T/A members that don’t travel that often or even outside the US.

I think for the price, your rules and conditions, a better management team should be expected.....

At the end of our trip this year we all had a good time. The complex is well maintained and very pretty..... but, I doubt we will visit here again and I doubt I could recommend to our friends.

Great Resort!

Just stayed here for the weekend with a few of my friends for a girls trip. We have a great condo in building 800, unit 761. 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, a well appointed kitchen and a balcony with amazing sunrise and ocean views. You will not be disappointed. The guards at the gate take their job seriously. So be sure to have all the right passess etc as they can make it very frustrating to figure out any work arounds. Not a deal breaker, just something to be aware of.
