Loved the comfortable huge beds and convenient location which was a very short walk to the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea. It was spotlessly clean and good value for money.Very friendly helpful staff and good breakfast basket system.
The breakfast was way too sugary, it would’ve been better if they put in a pot of yoghurt, remove some of the sugary sweet breads and replaced it with a simple croissant.

The first room given to me was not yet prepared, a bit odd to enter into some previous persons mess. (I arrived well past the check in hour) I requested a change to a second room with 2queen beds rather than 1. (Management generously offered at no extra charge, yet when booking it was not clear that my 2 person room would only have one queen). Comfortable bed, clean, but thin walls.

Room key “demagnetized” 2 of my 3 nights. When locked out at night you need to call an emergency number, disturb person “on call” and wait for their arrival (short time ~5minutes but still not pleasant especially when blamed for putting my key and phone together. My key and phone were in separate purse pockets, so especially unpleasant)

With so many hotel options in the area, I recommend staying elsewhere..
