My second time here and I love this place. It has all the amenities...even some you don’t care about but it’s the people, the comfortable common areas, nice rooms, good breakfast and...not only Pet Friendly but....they provide DOOR STOPS.
Laugh if you must but how many times have you wrestled with the door while trying to hold it open to get your luggage in the room.? It is just a thoughtful amenity that I appreciate.
My dog DAZY gives it 5 stars for its pet friendly area. Clean and well maintained with baggies and disposal area.
All in all...after 7000 miles, 2 months on the road, this is one of my top picks for hotels.
We stayed in Room 314 for the one night only.
Room 314 was a great sized room with 2 KS beds. There were plenty of amenities in the room, i.e. microwave, fridge, tea and coffee facilities (however, there were no tea sachets supplied, only coffee and that horrible powdered creamer). We had to go to the breakfast area off the main reception to obtain tea sachets and small milk pots. Tea/coffee facilities are also available 24 hours off the main Reception.
As the hotel is a good bit out of town and has no restaurant, the hotel lays on a courtesy van which will take you into town and pick you up - a great touch.
I loved the massive Reception area, with its open fire, comfy chairs and sofas. As we knew before hand there was no restaurant available, we took in our own food and the hotel allows you to sit and eat your food in the Reception area, we enjoyed that.
There is a large enough breakfast area with plenty of hot/cold foods available.
I gave the Cody 4 stars only because of the lack of a Restaurant and the distance from town; however we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cody.
