We took a mini vacation to the Halifax area in mid November and decided to stay at the Comfort Hotel in Bayer’s;s Lake. O.K. it was recommended by a friend so we thought we’d try it out.
The Hotel is not hard to find and is located just outside of all the action yet near enough that the stores, theatres, restaurants etc. Are all located in short 5 minute or so driving times from the hotel so it is very convenient.
This hotel is undergoing an upward expansion of some seven stories yet there was no noise to disturb the clientele. We arrived mid afternoon and ere warmly greeted by the desk staff who very efficiently got us checked in and explained all the amenities even (shudder) the exercise room. The guest room we stayed in looked like it was brand new. Everything was very clean and pristine. We borrowed an up to date Blue Ray movie and watched it on the TV.
Up around 7:30 am and went for a very very pleasant breakfast in the main dining area. Oh ear it is just a regular buffet breakfast but...not so. It had about everything you could want for a buffet breakfast. There was no shortage of choices for breakfast food. Who could ask for a better breakfast ( without eggs Benedict).
Really it was enough to eat that it was hours until we even thought about food again and the Manager and the Owner of the hotel payed everyone a short unobtrusive social welcome to all the guests.
All in all a very enjoyable visit.
We highly recommend a stay at the Comfort Hotel ay Bayer’s Lake!
Had everything needed for business trip. Would highly recommend. Great location to highway and shopping including great restaurants and Costco! Rooms were clean and staff were friendly. Great for business travel
