Great Value For The Money

by Tanner2305

Stayed at the Comfort Inn on two consecutive Wednesday nights while on business in Burlington. The hotel was in a good location close to the QEW, shopping and a number of restaurants. Room had everything I needed for a one night stay. It was clean and quiet and had a in-room coffee maker, comfy bed and fresh plush towels.
I didn’t like the pillows (my own preference) so on the second Wednesday I brought my own from home.

Breakfast was decent with hot and cold items. There was a hard working staff member refilling the food items and cleaning tables while I was there so no issues from me on that point. Coffee was surprising good for a hotel.

Staff were professional and attentive.

All in all I had a positive experience at the Comfort Inn Burlington and would definitely stay again when I’m back in Burlington.

Dirty

So, the good: really comfortable bed, super friendly staff.

The bad: The bathroom as well as the bedroom were super dirty. There was black hair in the sink, on the floor, in fact, in each towel. I've a shaved head and am too old by now to have black hair... so, whose hair?! I attach photos below.

Most of the surface areas in the bedroom were super dusty. The coffee maker didn't work.

The breakfast was included, and definitely ok, given the nightly rate, but, again, nobody cleans the tables in what is a small room for the number of guests staying over here. So, unless you end up going early, you will find a seriously messy breakfast table.

There's also the all-time classic of not cleaning your towels daily due to environmental protection concerns. That would be credible, if the breakfast wasn't a plastic-everything activity. Disheartening.

Baseline: understaffed hotel that could do better, given the overall quality of the facility. Nothing a decent cleaning job couldn't fix.
