Traveler Beware - Paper Thin Walls and Unhelpful staff

by aykonsilvers

This was the worst Comfort Inn I have ever stayed in. Though the building looked nice, it was horrible. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. The night I stayed there, I kept hearing loud thumping and muffled TV noises from the room above me. I told the front desk and the attendant said that she thought this was the room next to me so she called them and told them to be quiet. An hour later they were loud again and I went upstairs to confirm that it was coming from the room above mine. It was and I reported this to the front desk. The attendant said she would handle it but an hour later the noise had not stopped. By now it was already 1:30 AM so I walked upstairs to personally handle this. Just as I was about to knock, two people came out laughing and they were followed by two other people. I explained that they had kept me up for over 3 hours and I needed them to quiet down. The older male said I needed to tell the front desk. I told him that I had, TWICE, and nothing happened. He told me to leave him alone or he was going to tell the front desk. I told him I would happily tell them. I went downstairs and there was no one at the desk. I was so tired that I wandered back to my room and eventually got to sleep. However, this has soured my opinions of Comfort Inns which are usually some of my preferred hotels. Not only was the front desk unable to solve this problem, but the building itself was in disrepair. There were cracks all along the walls in the bathroom and hotel room. While I was eating breakfast, a piece of the tile at the front door fell right off without being touched and no one did anything until I reported it to the front desk. Do yourself a favor and DON'T STAY HERE!

Dated, In need of Refurbishing and Repair

by 1Jon34

Checked in on Tuesday early evening. After moving into our room, we discovered the toilet seat is very loose. There is no aerator on the faucet so water splashes everywhere. The sink drains very slowly. There is a hole at the bathroom outlet that a finger could fit into. The door knob is missing from the cabinet by the door. Got into the shower and discovered that the bottom of my feet were black from walking barefoot on the room carpet/tile floor The breakfast is good and has a nice variety of foods, but the coffee is very weak. The usual waffles were not very good this morning. Several people were outside to the side of the front door smoking and being quite loud until about 1:00 a.m. Very annoying. This hotel needs to have repairs done and needs a good refurbishing. It is not up to the standards of a Comfort Inn or Choice Hotels.
