Located in Savannah’s historic district near River Street, this Comfort Suites is within minutes of City Market and Savannah College of Art and Design. Make sure to book a Savannah tour with Old Savannah Tours because the trolley pick up is right outside the hotel, making it easy to explore the town. The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is also only a few minutes away. The indoor heated pool is a great for swimming and playing and parents can relax on one of the surrounding lounge chairs. The fitness center with its cardio and weight machines is a good place to keep up with workouts. Friday Night Stay

by cbhickey2

Stayed here for one night while visiting Savannah. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was average as far as condition. I did feel like it wasn't in the safest area though I didn't have any problems. It is advertised as within walking distance of Old Town but I wouldn't recommend doing so after dark. Plus the surrounding area to walk through looked a little rough. The shuttle service worked okay though they weren't able to pick up everywhere as described and we had to wait 45-60 minutes for a ride back in the evening. I recommend taking the hop on-off trolley tours as a way to see the sights and for transportation as the town is a much larger area than you might think. To walk it all would be a lot and that is not even considering the heat on some days.

A Touch of Class

I’ve stayed at other choice locations, but never at a comfort inn. Had I booked the reservation I would have chosen marriott but one of our girlfriends handled everything with that. I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED WHATSOEVER!!! The young lady at the front desk (Maleeta) was very professional and very informative. Both concierge ladies were so helpful. The hotel was very clean and well kept. Breakfast and breakfast personnel were very friendly and accommodating. The shuttle service was a lifesaver and your driver (Graham) made every trip so much fun and she’s full of very useful information. I love that she plays a great selection of music in the bus which targets various audiences. I usually book my hotel stays at a marriott or a hilton property, primarily for the amenities, but the staff members are not always caring. They are helpful but the impression is because it’s just their job. It makes a heck of a difference being serviced by individuals who act as if they actually care about your experience.
