Paradise on earth! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were blown away not only by the beautiful island but by the customer service. Only down side is you have now ruined every other hotel for us.Thank you for memories that will last a lifetime. My second home.????

Best of the Best in the Maldives!!

by xilofono

For our 5th trip to the Maldives, we wanted a very remote atoll packed with activities. But we didn’t expect it to be this good - 10 out 10, 5-star, gold medal!

The water suites are amazing, perfectly designed and very comfortable for 2 adults and one 7-year old with a private pool and chill out pavilion. With each passing hour, we left busy life behind and slowed down to the Maldivian rhythm. Each villa comes with beach comber bikes and we loved riding from place to place along the sandy trails through the palm trees.

The restaurants were amazing, offering great selection of nutritious and tasty meals - the best with local fish and fresh vegetables from the island garden. Less huge buffet and more bespoke à la carte, which we loved. The staff were impeccable, just the right balance of being friendly, discreet, helpful and giving us our space.

The best though was the huge range of activities for us and kids - snorkelling, stand up paddle, surfing, windsurfing, shark feeding, fishing, dolphin spotting - as well as an amazing kids club (that our son Valentin kept asking to go!). Plus an amazing spa as well.

An added bonus is the presence of the marine biologist Christopher who explained island formation, coral bleaching, marine species in excellent presentations. It made our dives and excursions that much more memorable. We got to swim with turtles, rays, sharks, eels and all the wonderful tropical fish varieties the Maldives are famous for.

This is the perfect place for barefoot luxury, and excellent quality packed into every moment and experience. General Manager Benjamin runs a very slick operation and it shows - everyone works hard and with genuine passion. This is by far the best in the Maldives.

Maalifushi bests Six Senses Laamu (narrowly), Cocoa (less suited to kids), Kanuhura and Halaveli. We normally never repeat but we will most definitely be returning here!
