A Highlight of our Trip to Portugal

by GPBurdell67

We fondly remember our stay at this hotel and probably should have stayed longer to really enjoy all that it offers. The historic buildings were on display during a tour by one of the hotel staff. It wasn't the best tour but that's a minor quibble. Some of the highlights were an ancient olive tree, the chapel, wine cellar and cloister. Our room was fine and the view lovely. Staff was friendly and competent. The room rate was very reasonable and the included breakfast was quite nice.

Charming stay in Evira

by calwinemd

The history is what makes a stay here special. The knowledgable staff takes guests daily on a tour of building and chapel. The complimentary daily wine tastings are also lovely. Rooms are large and comfortable if a bit dated. Realize you are in the countryside not Lisbon so the 5 star rating is not exactly the same. Be aware you are a few miles outside city center so unless you have a car it is a 8to 10 € cab ride each way. A lovely and enjoyable stay.
