I wanted to plan a weekend beach getaway for our family - wife, kids, things to do. A friend recommended Coquina as an easy, quaint, island style vacation. We had the best time! The rooms were large, the linens were clean and the carpet looked like it was just steam cleaned. There was a nice kitchenette and a spotless fridge. We looked out onto a long beach and the beautiful Gulf. We hung out at the pool, paddle-boarded, volleyball, and then there was the sunset. The staff were nice, attentive, and extended themselves for whatever we needed. The hotel is minutes from St. Armand's circle (shopping and dining) and minutes from places to rent jet ski's, kayaks, you name it. The other guests seemed to enjoy themselves too. Everyone was friendly, easy-going, with an island style vibe. We came home relaxed, rested, and with family memories that will last a lifetime. Certainly a hidden gem in Sarasota! We will be back again soon!
Our second family getaway here at Coquina! Both stays were great! Management and staff were attentive and helpful with both my requests. The atmosphere was Old Florida island laid back feel, all the guests we met we feeling chilled too! My kids enjoyed the pool and beach all day and made new friends with other guests children. We ate at the circle one evening, the second night we grilled at coquina they had everything for grilling (charcoal & tools). Other guest were grilling too they helped us on the grill, shared some food, we watched an amazing sunset together, lots of fun! Good times! Great atmosphere! Great rates for a true Florida beach life.
Paradise weekend! Be back in March!
