Nice Stay

by Jimplis

The hotel is set in really nice grounds and as soon as you enter, you feel more relaxed.

The location is by the marina, outside of town and with great views of the mountains and the sea.

The Top Floor Sea View Rooms are definitely something that I would recommend and the pool area is a great place to spend an afternoon. The only criticism I'd have of the pool area is that it has a great bar but there was generally only one person there so this guy would be taking the order, serving drinks, collecting the food and then serving that. It should really have two people there as it was common for there to be no-one there at several times throughout the day.

The lobby area was great but some members of the front desk were not always on top form or overly helpful which means that the first impression was not always the best.

Birthday Getaway didn’t Disappoint

Our first time to La Paz and we loved it! The resort is not in the historic, local city center or the Malecon. It’s tucked away in a newer area with marinas and walking distance to several, small, local restaurants. We were happy we stayed in a top floor suite as it had a soaking tub, huge balcony with lounge chairs and a kitchenette- perfect to relax after our days on the water. We didn’t use the hotel
Pool, instead we went to the pool club next door- the hotel has a deal with them. Great drinks and nice pool there.
Staff at the resort were very accommodating and compared to US prices for small resort stays, we found this lovely location a great value. Definitely get out on the water- it’s like the Caribbean-we swam with whale sharks one day (unbelievable), and has a marine biologist guide take us to Espiritu Santo, Balandra beach and swim with sea lions another day. We also spent most of our last day in town wandered the malecon and had great, local lunch before heading home. Hope to go back again!
