Really rundown

by Robyn R

This hotel is in desperate need of a make over. For $300 a night you'd expect the wallpaper to not be peeling, the paint chipping and the rooms to at least be clean. Walls were thin and that made it hard to sleep as well. Workout facilities were poor and the pool was just plain gross.

Rude staff to say the least

I did not see nor feel the southern hospitality until I was greeted by the nightly security guard. I checked in and the lady had an attitude coming to the front desk because I was interrupting her tv show in the back. I was told that they have a indoor pool (my 2 children could go swimming) but there was a sign on the door of the pool saying it would be open by 3:00pm that evening. Keep in mind I got to check in around 5:00pm so the sign should have been off the door. Well the pool never opened and the whirlpool looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in months (it was window where you can see into the pool area). The room was nicely cleaned but very dated. This particular location hasn’t been updated yet. I woke up around 7am and opened the curtains, there peeping in the window stood the man who called himself the “manager of the property”. I quickly got the children dressed and packed the car so I wouldn’t have to go back into that room. The beds weren’t comfortable at all and the breakfast attendant was very rude. Luckily we only had to stay 1 night..
