Perfect location and super great staff

by dhcsmc321

We stayed at this hotel the week of 10/20/2018. We were there for a wedding. The location is just off of 240 in the desirable East Memphis/Germantown area. The surrounding area is very good. There are many restaurants and within walking distance. Crossing Poplar or Park as a predestrian, however, might be a little dicey. Ruth's Chris, Flemings, Owen Brennans, Seasons 52, The Capital Grill and Central Barbeque to name a few are nearby. There is also a Broken Egg cafe that is in a shoping center that is adjacent to the hotel, a good breakfast place.. This is an older Courtyard, the original design which is our absolute favorite. It is an exceptionally well maintained property. We always request rooms that face the Courtyard and nearly all of these have balconies that you can sit on and screens so that you can leave the doors open and enjoy pleasant breezes. Beds were very comfortable and it is quiet. The front desk personnel are superior. Lisa and Shawn helped us at various times and they know their business and very responsive. In fact, the entire staff is very friendly and efficient. When we are again in Memphis this is where we will stay.

Not happy

I’ve stayed here before but this time scared me. I was placed near the elevator which when traveling alone as a woman was not great. The app for Marriott rewards asked me how my stay was going & I commented on the survey about the location of my room & within 15 minutes some man started banging on my door saying he was from housekeeping & stood outside my door forever. That really scared me. I was disappointed because I know they have renovated rooms & this room was very dated. Will stay at the Hampton around the corner next time.
