Security needs improvement

by joaneda

One morning I woke up and found a man sleeping outside of my room. I told the front desk when I went down to get coffee abt 6:45 am. After one hour, I went upstairs to find the man sitting up on the floor in front of my room. I went back down to the front desk and waited until they escorted the man out of the building. I had a corner room, which has a hidden corner, not visible thru the peephole where the man was sleeping. The door to the stairs was across from my room. I asked to be moved since I was afraid the man would come back. The room they moved me to was across from the elevators and smelled like throw up. I was moved a third time, when I asked for help with my luggage and bags. A woman came up to move me but never asked if she could help me and I lugged everything myself to the next room. I only ate once in the restaurant ( a chicken dish). It tasted like it had been pre-cooked and warmed up in the microwave. Since I am Platinum Elite, I asked to be upgraded to the 6th floor. The front desk told me that the 6th floor was unavailable to hotel guests because someone leased out the entire floor? I was credited for 5,000 points to my account for the inconvenience of changing rooms which was a nice gesture, but it should have been 30,000. The management team needs to try harder to keep their clients happy and their security needs to be updated.

Great place for a Salt Lake City stay

by David L

I had a great time at this property. My stay was quite restful, and I was able to sleep very well in a comfortable bed. The curtains blacked out the light perfectly, which doesn't always happen in hotels.
