Overview

The Cozy Cove Inn’s remote location among the spruce trees on Diamond Ridge will give you a taste of the Alaskan wilderness, while keeping you close enough to town for easy access to shops, restaurants and activities. It has a variety of available rooms, but The Top House works well for a family of four. The entire room is in the loft space of the main house and includes a queen bed and two twin beds, private bathroom, entertainment center and sitting area. You’ll have full use of the common areas of the house, including a broad open deck that gives you prime panoramic views of the forested hills and Kachemak Bay in the distance. Kids will love the home-baked cookies, muffins, and cinnamon rolls the owner sets out each day. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, DVD and book library, full use of the kitchen and your choice of a self-serve continental breakfast or a hot gourmet breakfast.

The Cozy Cove is 5 miles north of the Homer. You’ll enjoy the scenic drive into town each day, where you can park and walk to various attractions. The Pratt Museum tells the history and culture of the area from the earliest Native Alaskans to modern times with some fun exhibits. Drive out to the Homer Spit to visit the eclectic shops and restaurants at the harbor and do some beachcombing. You can also find fishing charters and guided tour boats at the harbor. One fun excursion leaving from there is a cruise across Kachemak Bay to the kid-friendly Grewingk Glacier Trail. It’s a great way to see wildlife and get up close views of the glacier.

Beautiful views and really nice location

by Jenlong49

My honey and I loved our stay here. Marcella was so relaxed and easy to deal with, super friendly. She offered to let us wash our clothes which was SO nice as we had been in Alaska for a week and were running out of fresh items. The Bear Paw studio is where we stayed and we loved it. The "room" was quite large with a TV, kitchen, table nice bed and really nice shower. This house and studio were quite large, very clean and really nice people. Highly impressed with Homer overall and loved all of the glaciers, views and wonderful food. Can't wait to go back to Homer in the future and stay with Marcella. I believe she rents the entire house out as well which would be awesome with the entire family. Great time and super nice host!!!

Great view of the field of blooming fire weed below.and then a bull moose came out to graze!!!! Generous apartment with great accommodations. Host stopped in to show us how to use the TV and then gave us the full story. Nice lady. Highly recommend.
