Stayed two nights in October for business. The room is much quieter than I expected, which was nice. Only occasionally heard an airplane (National Airport is quite close). Bed comfortable and slept well. Breakfast fairly typical -- scrambled eggs, bacon, toast. A few things could use attention, tho: the fixtures in the bathroom and the closet show rust they've painted over. The carpet in the room is bumpy, uneven. The breakfast room gets crowded, and you either wait to be seated or ask to sit with someone else. Two harried women run around and try to multitask -- clearing tables, serving coffee or orange juice, guiding new arrivals to tables. I felt bad for them -- ridiculous to imagine that two staff can handle that workload. Location is great, and check in and check out were smooth.

Hotel was plenty nice, clean. But they seem to have an identity crisis -- they don't know their name.
My reservation through the IHG website clearly said “Crowne Plaza- Crystal City”.
But their airport shuttle vehicle is labeled “National Airport" -- nothing to indicate “Crystal City”.
I missed my first shuttle opportunity – had to make multiple calls to the hotel. After they described the vehicle with purple and pink stripes, I was able to second guess the situation and flag down the shuttle.
