If you’re looking for an affordable place to stay during your visit to Denali, you’ll love the rates at Denali Park Hotel, which are about half what you’ll pay at most accommodations a few miles down the road. Ideal for a family of four are the standard rooms with two queen beds. You get a clean and comfortable room in the quiet town of Healy, just 10 miles away from the entrance to the national park. Cool amenities include a refrigerator and microwave, satellite TV, coffeemaker and free Wi-Fi. Kids will love the wildlife that wander through hotel property. The peaceful grounds, away from the commercial congested areas further south, attract a steady stream of moose, caribou, red fox and more, right outside your room.

The Denali Park Hotel is just off the Parks Highway, surrounded by acres of trees and tundra. The kid-friendly Black Diamond Grill is a fun 15-minute walk down a dirt path, while other restaurants are a short drive away in Healy. Parents will love the burgers and ribs at the 49th State Brewing Company brew pub. The hotel is also conveniently located down the road from the Denali Outdoor Center, a full-service outfitter that specializes in river rafting, kayaking and mountain biking, so you won’t have to go far to start your Denali Park adventure. With its clean, affordable rooms and easy access to outdoor activities, the Denali Park Hotel is an awesome choice for your family vacation in Alaska.

Excellent stay, great price and location

by BusyBeingLazy

The hotel is at a few minutes drive from the main Denali entrance. The rooms were better than expected and were very spacious and clean. The hotel is also right next to the beautiful Otto Lake and 49th brewery which has fantastic food and beer. We enjoyed our stay.

Nostalgic Hotel

Preciously the accommodations for the US forest service the hotel was purchased and converted to a motel. Several old Alaskan Railway cars dot the landscape and one is used as the lobby. There are four primary buildings that house 12 rooms each and most have double beds. Rooms are quaint and accommodating with a refrigerator, coffee pot, TV and Satellite. Free WiFi throughout the property.

This was our second time here and we like the location since it is close to Denali National Park. Far enough away from the McKinnley Park resorts of Princess and Norwegian cruise lines.

On occasion you can see moose on the property or an occasional snowshoe hair.
Great place to lay your head and relax. The lobby does have free coffee and they do bag ice if you need it. They also have some breakfast stuff available for purchase, cheap I might add.

Sunrise isn’t too bad either.
