I have stayed here many times. It's a great getaway with very comfy rooms and helpful staff. Many rooms have balconies and face the Animas River, which is very pleasant. They also have an attached brewery.

We stayed two nights in Durango as part of our roadtrip. The hotel is located just off the main road and has ample free parking at the front. The staff on reception, Christian and the lady who’s name we didn’t remember but has friends in Glasgow, gave us a fantastic welcome. The main town centre is just across the main road and a five minutes safe walk on foot. Our room was well furnished with tea and coffee facilities but valuables are stored at reception as there is no in-room safe. The hotel has an inside restaurant and bar which we liked and also, in the summer season, an excellent bar and restaurant outside on the waterfront with live music. Definitely recommend
