The DoubleTree Hotel Chicago has a fantastic downtown location in the Windy City. Rooms and suites feature chic, upscale decors with large bathrooms, plush bedding and cribs on request. Suites also contain separate sitting areas with wet bars and dining tables that seat up to six people. Select rooms have pull-out couches. Family packages are usually offered at DoubleTree. MARKETHOUSE Restaurant is one of the area’s more popular places to dine. The menu presents dishes with fresh poultry, fish and other meat acquired from local farmers. Children’s menus and high chairs are also provided. Einstein Bros Bagels also serves breakfast and lunch, while H2O Poolside is open seasonally. To pass the time, families can use the indoor pool for a small fee. An outdoor pool is open during the summer months. Nearby, families have easy access to lakeside paths that offer green areas to play and beautiful views of Lake Michigan. Chicago offers plenty of family-friendly activities, like the Chicago Children’s Museum, Navy Pier rides or Millennium Park.

This hotel was conveniently accessible to the highway and Navy Pier. The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable! I was definitely blown away with the room. I wish I didn’t have to go back home.
Rooms have been renovated. Fairly modern decor. Good TV. Responsive thermostat. VERY VERY bright bathroom...actually could use one smaller light to help get in and out without eye-shock. Note the windows APPEAR to be single pain and bring a lot of cold into the room during winter months. The heating system can keep the room warm but the extra heat needed to overcome the windows makes the air VERY dry. Elevators working better since renovation. Note: Try West Egg Restaurant for breakfast and lunch across the street.
