Overview

When families think of Anaheim, they are thinking of Disneyland Resort. What they may not realize is how many great hotels are within walking distance of the theme parks, including this DoubleTree in Anaheim, which is made up predominantly of suites with separate living and sleeping spaces to help families get a break when fatigue sets in at Disney.

From the second-story, heated pool, and from many of the rooms, families can even enjoy watching the Disney fireworks, all while spread out and relaxing in a comfortable hotel with ample parking. The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Anaheim Resort is the only hotel to feature an official Disney Welcome Center in its lobby, staffed by Disney employees, to help families make all reservations and ticket purchases in advance — which helps save time at the theme parks.

If you’re headed to Knott’s Berry Farm instead of Disney, the drive will take you about 20 minutes.

Room Information

Find the Best Price for Your Stay

Guestrooms
The hotel received a renovation in late-2014, upgrading all of its rooms and suites. The property features 12 standard rooms with two queen beds and 30 standard rooms with king beds. All standard guestrooms have mini-fridges, microwaves, coffeemakers, flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi.

Queen Suites
The hotel is mainly a suites hotel. Suites include separate living rooms with one double sofa bed, mini-fridges, microwaves, coffeemakers, free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Separate bedrooms also offer a flat-screen TV and are outfitted with two queen beds, accommodating up to six family members in one suite.

King Suites
King Suites are corner units that are slightly larger than the standard suites, offering one king bed instead of two queens. Because of the size and corner windows, these are upgraded suites. For the best views of Disney, with the most space, request a king suite on an upper floor facing the theme parks.

Reviews

Great Disney Location

by tkjmbarnard

This was a great place to stay if visiting Disneyland. We were able to walk to the park, but there was a shuttle service as well ($6 per person for all day). We loved the warm cookie at check-in and our room was spacious and nice.

DoubleTree Suites Anaheim

by Potluckid

We had the best stay at Doubletree this past week. So, if you're looking for a clean and friendly environment to rest your head for a personal or business trip, look no farther, Doubletree Anaheim is your location!

Family Activities

Pool
The hotel's second floor pool is heated and while overlooking a parking lot, also faces Disney. During the evenings, when Disney's fireworks go off, the pool is a popular place for families with young children, who may not last long after the fireworks end. This spot, as well as Disney-facing rooms, allow families to get a glimpse of the show and then tuck kids into bed.

Game Room
A small arcade with vintage car racing games and pinball is also located on the second floor.

Family Dining

Agio Ristorante
The hotel's full-service restaurant, Agio Ristorante, provides breakfast, lunch and dinner, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Breakfast features a full American buffet, as well as a la carte items. During lunch and dinner, the menu is California fresh and Italian-inspired cuisine, with dishes like Macadamia Crusted Halibut and Vegetable Lasagna. A children's menu offers omelets, eggs, French toast, waffles and pancakes for breakfast, and the traditional kids' menu items throughout the day. Kids 12 and younger eat free with a paying adult in the restaurant. Room service is provided from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m daily.

Grappa Lounge
Adjoining the restaurant is Grappa Lounge, a bar providing a full menu and snacks from noon to midnight daily. Families often gather here after returning from the theme parks in the evenings, watching sports on one of the lounge's TVs.

Café Biscotti
For grab-and-go breakfast items and sandwiches, the hotel's lobby café is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. It features Starbucks Coffee, pastries and other snacks.

Planning & Tips

All About the Extras
Complimentary Cookies
Complimentary chocolate chip cookies are offered at the front desk daily.

Disney Welcome Center

Staffed by Disney employees, guests can purchase tickets, make reservations for character breakfasts, and ask questions regarding the theme parks.

Free Wi-Fi
The entire hotel features free Wi-Fi in all guest areas and rooms.

Parking
Self-parking is $16 per car, per day.

Check-In/Out
Check-in is at 4 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m.

The Art of Smart Timing
Anaheim is a year-round vacation destination. Most families visit the area during spring break, holidays and summer, but during the down season, the hotel caters to business crowds attending conventions at the neighboring Anaheim Convention Center.

Getting There
Anaheim is conveniently reached via Los Angeles International Airport, less than 30 miles from the hotel, as well as John Wayne Airport in Orange County. Families traveling through San Diego can reach Anaheim in less than two hours. The hotel does not provide shuttle service to the airports, so guests will need a car to get to the hotel.

Getting Around
The hotel is within walking distance of Disneyland Resort and its theme parks. Anaheim's Resort Transportation trolley system also provides service between Disneyland and the hotel, and connects guests to all the area hotels, Knott's Berry Farm, and beaches. This is the best mode of transportation for families who do not want to rent a car. One-way trolley fares are $3 for adults and $1 for children. Multi-day passes are available.
