The common areas are well maintained and well appointed. They seemed to have a 24/hr free coffee station but I don’t drink it so I’m not sure if it was always stocked.
Check in and out was super smooth and all employees were great during our visit. The maintenance guy who ate his lunch near the pool where we were swimming even almost caught a lizard for my 5 year old who was on the hunt for them!
Breakfast (6-9 a.m.) had hot biscuits and gravy, a scrambled egg-like substance, a cool automatic pancake machine and a different meat everyday (ham, bacon or sausage). There was also yogurt and apples most days and muffins, bread for toasting, oatmeal, cereal... Not exactly delicious but decent enough for a family in a budget.
Our King suite room was barelylarge enough to accommodate the sofa bed that my kid slept on, but it was okay since we basically used the room just for sleeping while visiting with family. We could just barely walk in between the beds, and there was no separate living area that I’ve seen in other suite hotels — the flat screen was mounted on the wall between the bed and the sofa, which was directly against the desk, which was just across from the kitchenette, which was just inside the main door. There were two desk chairs when we arrived, and we got permission to bring one to the lobby because it was just too tight with our medium-sized dog crate set up next to the desk.
Unsurprisingly, the sofa bed mattress was terrible. Our son was so excited to sleep there, but 2 seconds after he crawled on, he said, “Mommy, this bed hurts me.” I folded up the bedspread from our bed and an extra blanket we brought for the dog to spread between the matress and sheet, and he slept fine. (Our bed was fairly comfortable with plenty of good pillows.)
The kitchenette was just inside the main door and had a not tiny but smaller than regular size fridge, a stove/oven, microwave and an inadequate smattering of dishes/servingware to be truly useful, but we didn’t use any of that, except a bowl of water for the dog. One of the few spoons in the drawer was caked with old oatmeal, and we didn’t see any dish detergent until we lifted one of the housekeeper’s cart the next morning.
They made us aware at check in that since this is an extended stay, we would not be getting our room serviced everyday. They scheduled just one visit from housekeeping for the 5 nights we were there. she didn’t make the bed — just brought new towels/soaps and took out the trash.
Our dog was welcomed for a non-refundable $35 pet deposit. They offered one poop bag station in the grassy area behind the hotel.
Our favorite part of our stay was the pool. It wasn’t anything special but it was pretty clean with some morning shade, and we had some good family fun there.
We would stay here again but would probably try a different room configuration.
We stayed here for a few days for a baseball tournament. Check in was super simple and the staff very nice. The room was good and clean. Whenever we needed something they accommodate. The gym was ok only problem was you had to walk through it to get to laundry. So little kids at times trampled around in it. The pool is very small and was always crowded. It seemed like neighborhood people may have partaked in the pool. Would recommend the hotel.
