Beautiful setting and nice rooms with a porch

by Nhiker

The boat ride to the Lodge is very pleasant. The setting: trees, birds, agouti, pleasant rooms with a porch -- all make for a nice stay. We got to see the Hoatzin bird. The meals were healthy, but rather dull. Michael was a very good local guide.

Roughijng it, unique experience

by Bonnie K

The lodge had individual cabins on stilts, All windows were screened, as were the dining room and pool. There were not curtains all around and hearing people from the next lodge affected your privacy. One needed to use mosquito repellent. The lodge was reached by motorized boats. You were only allowed to take a carry-on on the boat.. At the meeting point from from the airport which we went by bus your luggage was locked away until your return. The lodges had a safe, which i recommend using. There was no electricity except for a few hours in the evening. but not enough hours. The food was fresh using what was available locally and was tasty. The staff was knowledgeable and very helpful.
