Overview

In the heart of Key West’s historic old town — close to the north end of Duval Street and the main marina — Eden House is a good pick if you want to be close to the action, but in a quieter locale. One of the oldest hotels in Key West, it’s been recently renovated and has an outdoor heated pool and hot tub, a sundeck, a chilled out hammock area and barbecue facilities where you can get your grill on with the gang. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi throughout the property and an onsite bicycle rental service.

The many room types here range from small budget-priced rooms with just a double bed and no TVs to deluxe options, rooms with a private porch, apartments, a cool loft and more. Some room types can accommodate families of five. The onsite restaurant serves tasty Mediterranean cuisine.

A hotel that captures the mood and vibe of Key West

by Richard F

Had 5 nights in this hotel. We originally had booked into a private room based on room costs and key west is expensive. But when i checked in I decided to upgrade and was so pleased i did and that we had chosen this hotel. Our initial room booked was very small and had no tv or refrigerator, and with no catering facilities in the hotel this is important if you are staying more than 1 night. So we upgraded to a suite on the ground floor next to the pool and it was fabulous! So spacious, and stylish, with big shower and a mini kitchenette with fridge and microwave. We absolutely loved the hotel. The style is typically old style Floridian, and is tastefully decorated everywhere. There is a nice sized pool which was mostly fine, though i imagine on busy periods, it will get a little crowded as would use of the sun beds. For us during a quiet week it was perfect. There is a spa which was nice and we loved the hammocks and swings dotted around the gardens in shade that was always nice to escape for a snooze and a read. Nice touch is a free happy hour every day from 4-5 where you get free wine, free spirits and discounted beer and cocktails. For eating we used nearby take out cafes for breakfasts and lunches, and everything Key West has to offer is no more than 15 minutes walk away, and you are also on the route of the free Duval loop shuttle bus that passes every 15 minutes. The service was in the main efficient, and delivered in the typical direct style you often get in the US, though we found the receptionist from Belarus was very pleasant and very helpful. We absolutely loved this place and so pleased we stayed there, and hope we might get back sometime in the future.

A Hidden Gem!!!

Loved the vibe of this property. The room was a little odd with the shower actually in the room but everything else was great. Lovely pool with a bar. Location was good, close to everything. I would defintiely stay here again!
