The Elk Springs Resort sprawls at the base of the Great Smoky Mountains and offers luxury cabins in sizes ranging from one- to six-bedroom cabins. The cabins have full kitchens with dishwashers, flat-screen TVs and washer/dryers. Some have pools, others have hot tubs, and most have crazy-gorgeous mountain or wooded views.
Each cabin has its own name – Above the Clouds, Snuggled Inn, Wine Down, Southern Comfort and many more – and the resort’s website is unusually breezy to navigate to locate a perfect cabin for your group.
A major shopping center — with a pharmacy, bakery, deli and video rentals — sits about five-minutes from the resort property.
Important to know: Bring your own hairdryer, coffee filters and DVD movie discs for the DVD player. Cribs are not included; rent a crib for a fee from Carousel Kids.
The Elk Springs Resort is 10 miles to Dollywood, 0.5-miles to The Village Shops, 0.6-miles to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, three-miles to Wild Bear Falls (indoor water park), 2.5-miles to Historic Ogle Log Cabin, and two-miles to the Gatlinburg Sky Lift. Done.

8 friends traveled from Chicago, NC and DC and met in Gatlinburg for a few days! We booked our stay by using Elk Springs Resort. Very nice and courteous each time i called. They were knowledgeable of the area and things to do near our cabin. We stayed in the Silvercreek Cabin. It was AMAZING! Plenty of room for everyone. We loved the private pool house, the beautiful patio, fire pit and fire place, just to name a few. We stayed 2 full days and didnt get to fully enjoy everything the house had to offer. We plan to do this trip again and will look to book the same house.
Only a very few minor problems, the refrigerator did not get super cold. But it was not to the point where we had to call anyone for service. We were not able to figure out the sound board in the theater room. Again, nothing major, we just went upstairs and watched our movie in the living room. Really minor. Nothing major!
We rented a cabin in the Luxury Resort. They had a gym and sauna at the top of the mountain. Our cabin was fairly high up and we had amazing views. We had a large hot tub out side and jacuzzi tub inside. The cabin was 2 stories and spacious but just the right size for the 2 of us. We felt safe and secure with other cabins close by but they weren’t too close for us to not feel secluded. We had a very nice trip. The location was in between pigeon forge and gatlinburg so very convenient.
