This grand lodge on Lake Louise has been welcoming vacationers for over 50 years. Its remote location is perfect for a quiet wilderness experience. It has two spacious suites in the lodge that are ideal for a small family, with two queen beds, room for a crib or rollaway, and stunning lake views out your window. Other amenities include a refrigerator, microwave, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. There are several rustic cabins on the property, but they lack running water, so you share a bathroom in the main lodge. The friendly owners offer a sizable continental breakfast each morning for guests. A few miles down the road is a full-service restaurant at a nearby lodge, or you can drive 40 miles into the town of Glennallen for more dining and grocery options.
Lake Louise is 16 miles off the main highway. It’s a popular fishing lake for freshwater trout. The lodge has the best harbor on the lake, so there are plenty of opportunities to rent a boat, or you can borrow one of the lodge’s complimentary kayaks. There are also numerous hiking and biking trails along the lakeshore. It’s an awesome place to view wildlife, especially caribou, moose and bald eagles. Your hosts make it easy to relax and enjoy all that the lake has to offer, but will point you in the right direction if you want to explore other places. The entrance to the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park is less than an hour away, as are at least five major rivers with world-class salmon fishing. If you’re looking for that classic wilderness experience on your Alaskan family vacation, the Evergreen Lodge will help to make great memories.

This lodge is everything we expected with bonuses included ... like watching eagles, swans and otters while relaxing in this wonderful setting. As if that wasn't enough Dana came out with banana cake with cream cheese frosting! Both Dennis and Dana were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The only reason we didn't give 5 stars is the trickle shower in our room and the TV in the sitting area ... it's such a beautiful spot and the TV was a distraction we had no control over since we weren't the only guests. Suggest TVs be limited to guestrooms.
Take the road to Lake Louise off the Glen Highway to stay here - what a treat! A small B&B lodge on the shore of the lake, run by Dana and Dennis - friendly, welcoming and providing everything you need for a quiet relaxing stay. There's even kayaks to take out on the lake. Dinner's available at the nearby Lake Louise Lodge. We'd have loved to stay longer!
