Overview

Extended Stay America in Rockford was designed especially for comfortable, longer stays for a value price, but for shorter stays, the hotel often offers deals to fill gaps between the longer extended bookings. It features large studios with fully-equipped kitchens and plenty of work space, amenities you won’t likely find in a typical hotel room. Families will enjoy the use of the kitchen to make family dinners, especially with the grocery store within walking distance, but if everyone prefers to sleep in and nobody has the motivation to cook, the hotel offers a free grab-and-go breakfast to suit a variety of palates.

Popular local attractions include Magic Waters Waterpark and Rock Cut State Park, but for a truly unique, one-of-a-kind sightseeing tour, take the family to Trolley Car 36. This tour takes you on a step back in time as you ride along the scenic riverfront, hear about Rockford in its early days, and see some of the city’s iconic art and sculptures up close.

Susan

No maid service unless you stay more than a week. Parking lot poorly lit. Doesn’t feel safe. Adjacent to strip club. Meagre breakfast. Sometimes all that was left were muffins wrapped in cellophane. Squatter in exercise room every evening — sitting on equipment wearing earbuds and staring at anyone walking by. We were followed from the parking lot and into the elevator three times. Creepy. Several times couldn't find staff at front desk — key card kept malfunctioning.

Military/ Government ID discount not valid here. No hot breakfast either

The woman working the night of our arrival was amazing and helpful. The computer system that we book in on was complicated and having trouble accepting our Canadian information. The pull out wasn’t made and we were given bedding in a bag. It was expensive $148USD to stay from 1am-8am and there is not a hot breakfast included. They also don’t honour military/ government ID.
